About the NLBWA-LA

The National Latina Business Women Association Los Angeles (NLBWA-LA) is a regional 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded to support the growth and success of Latina entrepreneurs, professionals, and small business owners in Los Angeles, California.

As a leading Latina business network in Los Angeles, our mission is to empower Latinas by providing access to business education, mentorship, leadership development, and community-based networking opportunities.

We proudly serve Latinas in business across LA by creating inclusive spaces for connection, collaboration, and professional growth. From startup founders to corporate leaders, our members benefit from programs that build confidence, capability, and community.

Education & Training

We equip Latina entrepreneurs in Los Angeles with the tools they need to grow and lead through expert-led workshops, business bootcamps, and mentorship programs. Our training focuses on practical skills and strategies for long-term success in both professional and entrepreneurial spaces.

Who We Represent

We represent the Latina, who is 45% of the total female population in Los Angeles. The demographics we serve are Entrepreneurs, Executives, and Corporate Professionals, who are Key Influencers that impact behavior in the community.

Latinas are the fastest-growing demographic in the country. They are achieving higher education at record numbers and starting more businesses than their peers.

Latinas are a key growth engine of the U.S. economy. 86% of Latinas are the primary shoppers in the household, so they control the lion’s share of the $1.4 trillion annual Hispanic buying power.

The epic increase of U.S.-born Latina females represents the nation’s future workforce, which will be bicultural and bilingual.

History About Us

The National Latina Business Women Association was established in July 2003 in Los Angeles, NLBWA emerged as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. It was founded by a group of Latina entrepreneurs and corporate professionals who recognized the importance of mentors and educational programs in empowering business owners and professionals. Since then, NLBWA has expanded nationally, with chapters in various cities across the country.

Today, NLBWA-LA is the largest chapter, with over 300 active members and a reach that is expanding to various regions in Los Angeles County.
